Your following or fan base can steadily increase, but gauging how many of those people are your target consumer may be difficult. Ask a question, engage your audience and see who or how many reply. Those interested in what you have to offer or say should respond accordingly. If not, you may not have the following your business needs to grow successfully.

Use Images
Posted on 06:45 by Unknown
There is nothing worse than reading a blog (or even a Facebook post) that is just text. Depending on the length, it is in your benefit to use images whenever possible. Not only does it add a sense of personality to the writing, depending on the intended tone, it can lighten or darken the mood of how the reader perceives it. Images also give the reader a break from the text. When focused on the image it will ease the mind so the reader does not get bored or tired while reading the rest of what is written. Images are your friend.

Customize Your Twitter
Posted on 07:00 by Unknown
In regards to your Twitter background, you do not have to be restricted to the options given through the site or even have to upload a random (but cool) image that you Google. Instead you can use programs, such as Photoshop, to create a customized background image that reflects on your brand. Why is this important to do? It shows your consumers that you are not lazy when it comes to your social networking skills. Your company has clearly put time and effort into making your tweets fascinating for your followers, why not entice them with a special background as well?

Don't Hold Back
Posted on 07:00 by Unknown
There is a good chance that when writing a blog post, you tend to censor what you write. Now this isn't to say use foul language or spark controversial topics that may offend your readers. This is merely to say if you write something down, but erase it because you are unsure your readers will like the content, there is a good chance they will. First instincts are for the most part, correct. Don't second guess the content you write, because it may be just what the reader is looking for.

Cross-Promote
Posted on 07:00 by Unknown
Advertising or marketing another company on your social media site can benefit you in the long-run. This will not necessarily take away from marketing your own company. If you can properly cross-promote, the business you are linking to should have no problem featuring your product or services on their site. If word spreads that you are open to market or link to another business page, you may find your own company being promoted on larger websites with a larger following base.

Give and Thou Shall Receive
Posted on 07:10 by Unknown
Keeping tips and tricks to yourself may hurt you in the long run. People scower the Internet if they are having trouble getting something accomplished. If you figure out an easier way to solve a problem, or come across something that may help your readers be more successful, share it! If you can reach out and help someone, even if it is only one person, the long-term effects may be huge. What if the CEO of Coca-Cola reads a blog article about using iFrames? The article helped him so much he decides to send a job offer your way doubling your current salary... May be farfetched, but anything's possible...

Be Yourself!
Posted on 07:15 by Unknown
When writing for a company blog, posting on Facebook, or tweeting about one of your products, it is important to show some personality. Yes, we understand that you may be using social media marketing in corporate America, but your fans will be more prone to listen to you if you make your posts engaging. Don't use crazy industry terms that only your sales department will understand. Crack a joke here and there or ask consumers how their day was. Show people that your company has feelings, or else you might get viewed as a business that only cares about selling and not your customers.

Keep Your Social Media Giveaways Simple!
Posted on 07:00 by Unknown
When offering a free product or service for your followers on Facebook, Twitter, or blogs, make sure your entry rules are simple. Do not overwhelm your readers by directing them to more than 3 of your social media sites. Instead, suggest they leave a comment on your blog post or ask them to become your fan on Facebook or Twitter. This makes it easy for them to win a prize, and easy for your business to obtain new fans and have them engage.
